Formative Search is excited to announce our partnership with a Renewable Energy company dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and providing stable electricity supply worldwide. They have developed a digital platform that combines Renewable Energy with low greenhouse gas thermal power. Currently, we are searching for a HSE Manager who will be based in Singapore and responsible for overseeing Southeast Asia.

As the HSE Manager, you will create and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance, prevent accidents, and promote a safety-first culture within the company.

Job Responsibilities 
  • Provide consistent safety support to designated power plants, addressing specific cases as they arise and conducting routine safety audits for operational advice.
  • Offer expert guidance to internal and external safety personnel, including ESH Coordinators and Plant Managers. Extend this support to platform companies where investments are held, ensuring a standardized interpretation of safety procedures.
  • Disseminate industry safety information and alerts through effective communication channels.
  • Deliver specialized safety support for new or transitioning plants, including site safety assessments and comprehensive report preparation.
  • Evaluate safety performance through personal observation and review of reports. Compile and share best practices based on assessments.
  • Thoroughly review and provide insights on all facility safety-related incident and accident reports.
  • Regularly report and track company safety statistics monthly, covering both plant and corporate OSHA metrics.
  • Actively participate in investigations and Root Cause Analysis, contributing to a proactive safety culture.
  • Engage in ongoing communication with plant teams through routine Safety Conference Calls, ensuring effective follow-up on safety-related matters.
  • Prepare and present fleet safety performance information for various corporate entities, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with third-party consultants to enhance and support safety initiatives within the business, working closely with crisis management teams to address specific safety issues swiftly.
  • Regularly attend safety-related meetings, actively contributing valuable insights and reporting outcomes for continuous improvement efforts.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in power or energy industry within the Industrial and commercial sector
  • Possess a bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Safety and Engineering (HSE) or equivalent in field experience.
  • Effective interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating successfully with individuals across various levels, from craft workers to senior management.
  • Must have a functional understanding of local and overseas laws and government regulations
  • Should demonstrate an unwavering dedication and enthusiasm to prevent any accidents, coupled with the capacity to seamlessly integrate safety with operations.
