Formative Search has been engaged by a well backed investor and developer in Renewables, who are committed to providing Clean Energy to corporates across the globe, especially now as the world moves towards zero emissions. They have engaged us on an exclusive search for a Global Sales Director to build up their worldwide accounts with Fortune 500 and RE100 companies, all across the world, with the role based from Singapore.
What are the main responsibilities for the Global Sales Director?
Build global Commercial & Industrial (C&I) accounts, with the firm's existing and also prospective customers, and do so with the intent to unlock more value.
Develop accurate segmentation and targeting of the global market, including identification of customer and market opportunities, whilst preparing for new industry opportunities.
Develop a network to ensure the company is being recommended and introduced to strategic opportunities within the Corporate PPA arena in a regional or global setting.
Structure and Industrialize the process around identifying and serving customers’ needs to match the company’s corporate strategy.
Identify and target strategic clients and projects, establish long-term & trustful relationships with customers, either in regional or global head offices.
Guide and participate with the project teams or other areas within the business to effectively implement the delivery for the customer's requirements and needs.
Be flexible and proactive to deal with complex situations, whilst never bending on achieving sales targets, and pushing for exceeding these.
What will a successful Global Sales Director look like?
15+ years of sales, account management, and business development experience with world leading brands across thr globe.
Techno-commercial understanding and an ability develop top-down sales with global MNCs, often starting with either the C-Suite, Executive Level, or Heads of Business.
Knows how to analyse the market to identify attractive customers, and then set a value proposition to bring in maximum sales.
Identifying effective ways to connect directly with customers at all relevant levels and ensure the company is extracting maximum potential and value from their relationships.
Capability to coordinate with technical teams internally and externally, whilst being able to negotiate on high-value contracts and help bring them to a close.
Strong commercial acumen and knows how to work in an international setting, with a proven track record of selling sophisticated solutions to major clients.
Excellent communication skills coupled with a dynamic approach to sales, and be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-pace environment.
