Job Overview:

The Senior Manager, Business Development (Renewables) is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our renewable energy portfolio. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and leading negotiations to secure contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the renewable energy market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in business development within the sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse market trends, identify potential opportunities, and develop strategies to expand the company's presence in the renewable energy sector.
  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities in renewable energy, including solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, utilities, financiers, and government entities.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and alliances to support business growth and project development.
  • Lead negotiations for project development agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and other commercial contracts.
  • Work with the finance team to develop financial models and business cases for new projects.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities, project pipelines, and market conditions.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development within the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record of closing deals.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to lead cross functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of renewable energy markets, project finance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
