Formative Search has secured a new and interesting mandate with a regional renewables platform that is building wind, solar, and storage assets across SE Asia. 
 
Our client is now looking for a Country Head to support the company’s growth across Thailand who will lead the business development and implementation of renewable energy projects across the country.
 
The Country Head will be responsible for:

• Building a pipeline and subsequent portfolio of renewables assets across Thailand.
• Develop your network to ensure the company is being recommended and introduced to strategic opportunities.
• Structure and Industrialize the process around identifying and serving customers’ needs to match the company’s corporate strategy.
• Identify and target strategic clients and projects, establish long-term & trustful relationships with customers.
• Guide and participate in project team to effectively implement the customer and project plans.
• Be flexible and proactive to deal with complex situations and achieve sales targets.
• Performance will be assessed by pipeline generation, projects closed, project profitability, revenue, customer relationship enhancement, brand influence, enhanced competitiveness and team building.

 
The ideal candidate should look like this:

• Entrepreneurial spirit, highly motivated, goal-oriented and has a broad industry network within the renewables sector.
• Have a degree in business & engineering with a minimum 15 years of working experience;
• Solid understanding of economic value proposition analysis with project finance experience being a plus.
• General management skills including appropriate knowledge of employment law, finance, and contracts.
• Deep passion for renewable energy and an entrepreneurial mindset.

 
This position is based in Bangkok and will suit someone who is based there already, or lived and worked there before, or wants to relocate across. The candidate could have the opportunity to be a leading figure of this growing business. The international focus of the company will open up the door for excellent prospects for the candidate once they have proved successful in this role.
