Associate, Asset Finance (2-4 PQE) – UK Law Firm
We are seeking a talented and driven Associate with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience to join a market-leading Asset Finance practice in Singapore. This is an exceptional opportunity for a UK or Singapore-qualified lawyer to work with a premier UK law firm, focusing on high-profile ship finance transactions.
The role involves advising a diverse range of clients, including international banks, financial institutions, and shipowners, on complex and high-value domestic and cross-border deals. You will be a key member of our team, handling a broad spectrum of asset finance work, with a particular emphasis on the maritime sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute a range of ship finance transactions, from drafting and reviewing loan and security documents to managing conditions precedent and overseeing closings.
- Assist in due diligence and provide legal advice to clients on commercial and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various finance-related agreements and legal opinions.
- Work closely with partners and senior associates to deliver high-quality legal advice.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer in the UK or Singapore.
- 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable international or leading domestic law firm.
- A strong background in finance law, with a demonstrable focus on asset finance and, specifically, ship finance.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, client-focused attitude with strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Outstanding academic credentials.
