Our client, one of the world’s largest owner-operators of liquefied gas carriers with a fleet exceeding 90 vessels, seeks a Business Development Manager to join their Singapore team. This role will focus on identifying and developing business opportunities in the NGL, Ethane, and LNG segments while building strategic relationships with key stakeholders. You will be responsible for evaluating chartering opportunities, developing commercial strategies, negotiating contracts, conducting investment evaluations, and performing market analysis to acquire new customers and expand the business portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all operations
- Build and leverage industry networks to identify commercial opportunities in NGL and LNG markets
- Originate growth opportunities (M&A, investments) while supporting chartering of existing assets
- Develop strategies to introduce the company to new NGL customers
- Monitor competition, market dynamics, and newbuilding activities
- Manage project tenders and offer processes, ensuring satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pre-qualifications and projects
- Draft and negotiate term sheets and charter parties
- Prepare stakeholder reports and presentations
- Develop market participation strategies based on comprehensive information analysis
Key Requirements:
- Strong commercial instincts and strategic mindset
- Relevant experience in LNG/NGL shipping or related segments
- Proven track record in business origination and contract negotiation
- Relevant degree in Business, Economics or Shipping preferred
- Willingness to travel
