Formative Search is partnering with a newly established clean energy platform, backed by a proven infrastructure investor, to hire a Country Head for the Philippines.

This is a rare ground-floor opportunity — you’d be the first senior hire in-market, responsible for building the business from the ground up.

The Role
You’ll own the Philippines P&L and lead everything from project development and government relations to deal execution and team building. This isn’t a caretaker role. The platform is actively deploying capital and needs someone who can move fast, build trust with regulators and offtakers, and close.

What You’ll Do

• Set and execute country strategy aligned with the platform’s regional ambitions
• Drive BD — originate, structure, and close solar and/or wind projects
• Own stakeholder relationships: government agencies, IPP partners, financiers, clients
• Oversee project development through to operations — on time, on budget
• Manage P&L, financial reporting, and compliance with local regulations
• Represent the platform externally and build its profile in the market

What We’re Looking For

• 15+ years in energy, with a strong renewables track record
• Demonstrable experience leading large-scale solar and/or wind projects in Southeast Asia
• Deep Philippines market knowledge — regulatory landscape, key players, deal flow
• A builder: entrepreneurial, commercially sharp, and comfortable with ambiguity
• Strong enough relationships in-market to hit the ground running

A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is expected. An MBA is a plus, but your track record matters more.
