Business Development Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships in the Australian market that align with our company's strategic objectives and goals.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to achieve revenue growth targets and drive market share expansion in Australia.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential new markets, customers, and partners in Australia.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers in Australia.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including marketing, sales, and product development, specific to the Australian market.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities in Australia to identify potential threats and opportunities for our business.

  • Participate in industry events and conferences in Australia to promote our brand and develop new business relationships in the market.

  • Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals based in Australia, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the wind energy industry or related field in Australia.

  • Proven track record of developing and closing new business opportunities and partnerships in Australia.

  • Strong understanding of the Australian wind energy market, including regulatory environment, market trends, and customer needs.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders in Australia.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of business development professionals in Australia.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals in the Australian market.

  • Willingness to travel within Australia as required.
