Job description
Formative Search is supporting a global manufacturer of solar panels and a provider of solar energy solutions by identifying top talents for their Business Development Manager position to drive their business forward in South Korea.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and acquisition of large-scale solar projects in Korea.
Proactively seek out new opportunities and develop effective strategies for project development and execution.
Evaluate project opportunities for commercial viability and perform opportunity qualification and analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, budget, execution strategies, goals, and deliverables.
Manage energy business projects and partners through all stages of development.
Build and maintain a pipeline of successful projects and cultivate relationships with potential partners and other market participants.
Prepare progress reports, proposals, and presentations, and participate in relevant events to promote business interests and identify new opportunities.
Negotiate commercial transactions and project acquisitions as necessary and oversee the completion of legal documents with project stakeholders and legal teams.
Key Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years experience in solar project development in Korea, with a proven track record of success.
Strong decision-making skills to assess project commercial and regulatory viability.
Fluency in Korean and English.
Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills, with proficiency in relevant software.
Strong network with local developers, land owners, government and regulatory bodies.
