Formative Search is supporting a global manufacturer of solar panels and a provider of solar energy solutions by identifying top talents for their Business Development Manager position to drive their business forward in South Korea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and acquisition of large-scale solar projects in Korea.
- Proactively seek out new opportunities and develop effective strategies for project development and execution.
- Evaluate project opportunities for commercial viability and perform opportunity qualification and analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, budget, execution strategies, goals, and deliverables.
- Manage energy business projects and partners through all stages of development.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of successful projects and cultivate relationships with potential partners and other market participants.
- Prepare progress reports, proposals, and presentations, and participate in relevant events to promote business interests and identify new opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial transactions and project acquisitions as necessary and oversee the completion of legal documents with project stakeholders and legal teams.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in solar project development in Korea, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong decision-making skills to assess project commercial and regulatory viability.
- Fluency in Korean and English.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills, with proficiency in relevant software.
- Strong network with local developers, land owners, government and regulatory bodies.
