Carbon-offset Sales, Trading House/Principal
Formative Search is partnering with a Principal in the Renewable Energy & Sustainable Commodities sector seeking to expand their Carbon Sales team in Asia. This role will be based in Singapore.
As part of their expansion plans, they are seeking for a Carbon Sales professional to market and sell Carbon Credits, GOs, RGGOs, RECs, and other voluntary carbon/environmental products to Corporates (Asia Pacific coverage).
The chosen applicant will be responsible for understanding the emission risks and sustainability challenges of these Corporates looking to decarbonize, collaborate with other support functions (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Operations, etc.) for proper due diligence and onboarding and offering bespoke product solutions to reduce their carbon footprint to aid them in achieving their decarbonization goals.
Where necessary, you will have to collaborate closely with your teammates in US and Europe to develop advisory strategy and a contributory role in building a trading portfolio in the voluntary carbon market.
You are an ambitious sales individual passionate in the carbon markets with relevant knowledge in the voluntary carbon products (EACs, Carbon offsets), sustainability and climate change.
A self-starter with a strong commercial mind, you possess a strong sales track record and comfortable with business development, including but not limited to cold calls, presentations, educating your clients/stakeholders. etc.
