Our client is an law firm with main offices in Singapore, London, Paris, Hong Kong, etc. Area of expertise includes finance, marine and international trade, commercial litigation, etc.
Our client is looking to hire a Compliance Officer, to play a key role in the Legal and Compliance team, supporting the Head of Compliance to identify and achieve compliance within the company.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct researches on new clients for CDD purposes, as well as background checks on onboarding clients
In-charge of analysing conflict search results to identify potential regulatory and/or conflicts, and managing incoming requests for new client and new matter openings
Act as a second point of contact to the business on complex compliance related queries
Assist with compliance driven policy drafting
Requirements:
Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years of experience
Experience in working in legal institutions/financial service providers is a plus
Strong understanding of AML and conflicts rules in which the firm operates
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure
