Formative Search is privileged to be partnering alongside a Renewable Energy Producer leading the Global Energy Transition with their portfolio of large-scale hydropower, geothermal, solar, wind assets.
This position is the senior leader in the host country and will be responsible for all the operations therein.
The ideal candidate mustbe committed to manage all business functions within the country and drive the strategic direction including managing the office and local team members, commercial licenses, projects, budgets, and government engagements in order to operate ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
In charge of managing and leading the teams to ensure the projects are completed on time, within budget, and up to standard.
Identify business development opportunities and solutions, manage risks, manage projects from beginning to end, and solve problems as they arise.
Ensure all aspects of the portfolio are considered from design to approval and delivery
Maintain key relationships with Federal, Provincial, and Local Government bodies
Assist in building and implementing a risk and approval process to drive deal strategy, focusing on early engagement, support and collaboration with global teams
Responsible for managing consultants to produce results to support portfolio's development and delivery
Maintain, adhere to, and comply with all government regulations and procedures related to business licenses
Utilize world-leading technology and engage consultants as needed to support the technical teams
Ability to prepare Commercial contracts and lead in-country negotiations as required
Plan, forecast and manage the company in country budget
Constantly develop knowledge of Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen sector
Implement innovative ideas to improve project delivery and highlight as the employee of choice
Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
Masters’ Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or otherrelated field
Former executive experience inRenewable energy or construction or infrastructure or mining oil or gas fields
Prior experience in the target country or country within the region
Experience in Business Development
Understanding of Key Project Phases and Project Management
Fluent in verbal and written English language as well as local languages
