Our client is one of the world’s biggest maritime organizations who has an ambitious vision to expand its influence in Sustainability. As part of their data quality management process, they approached Formative Search to look for a Data Quality Analyst.
Occasionally, the role will involve working closely with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and other parts of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing automated reconciliation frameworks and incorporate data reconciliation validation into such frameworks
- Improve data delivery and quality by working closely with QA and data engineering teams
- Maintain accurate, complete, reliable, relevant, and timely data by performing daily quality checks
- Aid various business units in resolving data exceptions
- Establish communication among teams in order to improve transparency of data mapping and issues identified
- Assist database team members in back filling data and improving data quality
- Maintain and respond to any quality issues with the company’s integrations with data providers
Key Qualifications and Competencies:
- Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of database to assist in management requests
- Proficient in data extraction, manipulation, and presentation
- Relevant qualification in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology or other related fields and work experience
- Prior experience using PowerBI and/or Tableau
- Knowledge of at least one programming language preferred such as VBA, R, Python, C#
- Experience with API Automation tools like Postman, Katalon Studio etc.
- Understanding of Agile philosophy and prior experience working in an Agile environment
- An understanding of software QA, including best practices, processes, and all kinds of testing
- Prior experience in the maritime industry will be considered a strong advantage
