Excitingly, Formative Search has been awarded an exclusive and unique search mandate for a Chief Investment Officer in the Circular Economy arena. With this role to be based either in Singapore or Australia, our client is an impressive philanthropic organization that is committed in making a serious positive impact to the modern world through a number of global initiatives.
So our team are running an executive search to secure a highly experienced professional who will support the organisation in lifting their plastics recycling program off the ground, and to be a serious international leader in circular economies. The ultimate goal for the CIO will be to remove barriers, expedite, and scale market solutions for a circular economy for plastics, through investing and cultivating value chains through infrastructure, technologies and innovations.
The Chief Investment Officer will ideally come with over 20 years of experience in origination of deals, investment banking, as well as financing & investment in major infrastructure projects and growth businesses. A big emphasis of this role is in utilizing the CIO’s strong relationships in the finance communities across the infrastructure and impact space, and ideally from their background in working amongst emerging economies.
A winning candidate will have extensive experience in establishing a global network of facilities, especially across the ASEAN region, and must be comfortable with a scale-up business environment. It is absolutely essential that the CIO has proven leadership skills and credibility in engaging with global industry enterprises. The added aspect of this position is also how the CIO will be able to tap into the emerging interest and subsequent capital from corporates, to form strategic partnerships as they also set commitments for reducing their plastics waste.
