Job description
Our client is a long-term investor and co-developer of energy transition infrastructure assets for corporate decarbonization, headquartered in Singapore and working across the Asia Pacific region. They are looking for a Head of Origination, ideally to be based in Vietnam, responsible for driving new business growth and origination efforts for the company in Southeast Asia.
What you will be doing:
Develop, and execute a strategic plan and originate opportunities for scaling the company's EaaS business, including identifying new business opportunities, direct origination with customers, through partners, and with investment-led approaches, such as joint ventures and brownfield acquisitions, to drive the green energy transition and climate resilience.
Develop customized energy-as-a-service (EaaS) solutions for customers using proven technologies, such as storage, combined heat and power, energy efficiency, bioenergy, solar, cooling and heating solutions, green hydrogen, and carbon capture technologies.
Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, develop new product offerings, and expand into new markets.
Work with partners and customers to develop a medium to long-term strategy and roadmap to enable customers to achieve their sustainability/net-zero decarbonization targets, including identifying deliverable options and developing green financing models.
Ensure that the Corporate Solutions Strategy is dynamic and proactively maintained in step with customer requirements and proven products and technologies to stay ahead of the market, with a focus on circular economy and sustainable value chains.
Build and maintain a strong balance sheet through strategic partnerships and creative financing solutions.
What a successful candidate would look like:
Proven track record in delivering corporate decarbonization solutions, with a deep understanding of the energy transition landscape and sustainability challenges.
Master's or similar degree in Business, Finance or Engineering with over 15 years of relevant experience, with a focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
Ability to work independently.
Empathy and willingness to understand the needs and aspirations of all relevant stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and communities impacted by the energy transition.
Customer-centric and commercially-minded at all times without compromising ethics, integrity, and character, with a passion for creating shared value and positive impact.
Deep understanding of the energy market, with a focus on sustainable investments and renewable energy solutions.
As Head of Origination, you'll be working as a single contributor to lead and contribute to our client's decarbonization efforts towards NetZero, and play a significant role in the business's expansion and success. You'll collaborate closely with the principals to create and execute the Corporate Energy Solutions Strategy in the Southeast Asia region.
