As one of the industry’s longest standing players, our client has a great reputation for the Development and EPC services of large scale wind and solar projects. We are now working closely with their Asia Pacific Head Quarters in Singapore, helping them to secure talent across the region whom are going to help spur the growth of this great business. With the boom in Australia’s Solar Energy arena, we have a new opportunity for an Highvoltage Substation Design Engineer, who will be based in Brisbane office with site visits and international travel being required occasionally.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of SLDs, layout and sections for AIS and GIS substation.
Detailed substation design standard IEC and AS/NZ standard
Illumination calculation and preparation of Illumination Layout & conduit layout drawings for Control Room, GIS Hall Etc.
Earthing calculation and designing of earth-mat layout.
Preparation of Control room building Layout & Cable Routing Layout.
Lightning Protection calculation and preparation of Lightning Protection layout.
Cable Sizing and Preparation of Outdoor & Indoor Cable Trenches.
Transformer & DG Sizing Calculations.
Preparation of LV SLD(415V System) and LT Switchgear Room Layout.
Bus bar sizing calculation.
Short circuit force calculation.
Construction support activities, supervising documents and forwarding all approved documents to site
Maintaining Drawing/Design/Submission/Approval Status of various projects
Reviewing of technical aspects of various equipment.
Coordination with different equipment vendors
Bill of quantity estimation & technical support for tendering.
Attending pre-bid meeting with the client for technical discussion & scope clarity.
Conducting site surveys and preparing engineering documents & BOQ for Tendering.
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering is required
At least 10 years of work design experience with substation and transmission engineering
Good understanding of load flow study, short circuit study, insulation co-ordination study, HV and EHV electrical design, substation design, protection design, earthing design etc.
Understand Australian & Vietnam grid code, electrical drawing and power flow
