Legal Counsel, Commodities

As a Lawyer within our Commodities and Global Markets group, you will be primarily supporting the Commodities Market and Financing division. The Commodities Markets and Financing division focuses on a diverse range of business activities involving both physical and financial commodities transactions.
You will advise on freight, physical oil, coal, metals, agricultural and other commodities trading contracts and regulation, trade finance and structured financing transactions. You will also provide high level general advice to the commodities and structured trade solutions desks.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with a passion for commodities. Ideally you will have at least 5 years post-qualified experience in commodities trade finance, gained from within a law firm, financial institution or trading house. Familiarity with derivatives and general finance documentation would be highly desirable.
You will be working in a fast-paced team and be required to prioritise and take a flexible, proactive approach to manage workload, meet required deadlines and manage your stakeholders. You will have excellent attention to detail and will be able to demonstrate quick and sound judgement across a range of complex matters.
Commodities and Global Markets provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.
