Job description
We are currently assisting one of the world's largest commodity trading companies with their Legal Counsel hiring needs.In this role, you will play a key role in supporting their trading and shipping activities across the region.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of trade and shipping law
- Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including sale and purchase agreements and support all activities of the trading desks
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations
- Manage legal risks associated with trading and shipping activities
- Liaise with external counsel and collaborate with other business teams
- Being called to the bar
- 2-4 years of experience gained in a leading law firm or in-house legal team
- Strong understanding of international trade law, shipping law, and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be fluent in English and Mandarin
