Formative Search has partnered with a newly set up Renewable Energy developer who is solidly expanding across Asia Pacific. To support the Country Head of renewables, we are looking for a Project Development Manager for their new Australia build out. This platform will be for developing large scale projects in both onshore mainstream renewable’s technologies in Wind, Solar, & Energy Storage, but also emerging Tech like Hydrogen & Ammonia.

What will the Project Development Manager be doing?

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development of new utility-scale solar, solar/battery, and battery projects.

  • Securing leases for potential projects by working closely together with landowners.

  • Management of consultants involved in planning applications.

  • Manage the grid connection process with the appropriate network operators.

  • Prepare and negotiate all contracts/agreements.

  • Prepare development budgets for internal approval.

  • Analyse and report project spending and communicate key deviations/variations timely to management.

  • Identify, mitigate, and report the risks associated with the project.

  • Make sure management is kept informed of any significant developments in the project development process through regular reporting.

What will the Project Development Manager look like?

  • 5+ years of relevant project development experience within the power or renewable energy sector.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, environmental science, planning etc.

  • A strong understanding of Australian regulations and /or energy development.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skill and ability to interact well with different functions and levels.

  • Willing to travel frequently
