Project Director of Green Hydrogen (Western Australia)
Formative Search is privileged to be partnering alongside with an established Renewable Energy developer and producer. The firm runs multiple renewable energy projects including (but not limited to) Hydrogen projects across multiple continents, and now they are working with us to secure a Project Director of Green Hydrogen to be based in Perth, Australia.
What the Project Director role is
Reporting to the Board of Directors, your main role is to be responsible for the firm’s and other shareholders’ participating interests in the hydrogen venture (technical, commercial, financial and governance aspects) are successfully represented and having a commercial impact, executed in accordance with the JV agreement.
You are expected to have a strong understanding in contract negotiations, drafting and implementation, possessing an influential presence and gravitas to front senior Shareholders/Stakeholders of the business.
You will need to run the business proficiently (e.g., reporting cash flows of JVs, tax filing, budgeting, etc) and reporting the JV performance back to the Board, ensuring the firm’s interest in the JV is best represented.
What the Project Director will look like
You have upwards of 15-20 years of techno-commercial experience in the in Oil & Gas / New Energies venture management, having experience acting as a shareholder representative or played a lead role previously in JVs for large-scale energy projects.
You possess strong Oil & Gas / New Energies contracting experience having experience managing annual budgets, resourcing plans, and having led key commercial agreements with sophisticated counterparties. JV Partners & Operators.
An influential member in the business, you possess good character and gravitas to front senior shareholders and stakeholders successfully.
