Job description

Formative Search is an established but growing recruitment specialist in the New Energies, Legal, and ESG space across Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, we are hiring a Senior Consultant to join our highly successful New Energies practice and lead a desk in Sustainable Finance recruitment.

What a great Sustainable Finance Recruiter does:

  • Build and maintain a strong network of candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management.

  • Gauge chemistry of candidates for fit and motivation for the mandates you have with your clients, rather than simply sell a role.

  • Research, map and identify top talent and new business development prospects in the market.

  • Stay ahead of the industry trends with all relevant topics when it comes to Sustainable Finance, ESG, and the Energy Transition.

  • Attending both candidate and client meetings, initially alongside your team members.

  • Arrange interviews with your clients, ensuring candidates are fully briefed and providing regular communications and feedback.

  • Independently manage day-to-day work schedule and sales pipeline to achieve KPIs and revenue targets.

What a great Sustainable Finance Recruiter looks like:

  • Comes from a recruiting career of at least 3 years but is now very passionate to transition to Sustainability, ESG, or the New Energy landscape.

  • Has real drive to make things happen and hit your targets, and shown by your billings and results as an experienced recruiter.

  • Strong problem-solving and lateral-thinking skills with a keen eye for business development and spotting opportunities.

  • Resilient and able to handle rejection in often challenging landscapes, but can maintain strong relationship building skills and stay likeable.

  • Excellent team player who operates with a sense of community, whilst displaying ambition and determination to develop a rewarding career, brand, and business for themselves.
