Formative Search has partnered with a key player in the renewable energy sector, specializing in various aspects of the solar energy lifecycle. The company is involved in project development, procurement, supply chain management, logistics, and other services related to solar energy. They are dedicated to providing sustainable and efficient solutions, contributing significantly to the advancement of clean energy and environmental sustainability.We are currently supporting them with the search for a Senior Solar Procurement Manager covering the APAC region. Part of your task is to focus on building and executing procurement strategies for Solar projects, by identifying and negotiating contracts with key suppliers and vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy for solar projects, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Built and executed comprehensive procurement strategies for solar projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
- Identify, assess, and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Oversee the logistics and transportation aspects of the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Implement effective inventory control measures, minimizing excess stock while ensuring an uninterrupted supply for ongoing projects.
- Proactively identify and address potential risks in the supply chain and procurement processes, developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project development, procurement, and engineering, to ensure seamless coordination and successful project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and procurement processes, optimizing efficiency and implementing best practices.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards in the solar industry, ensuring full compliance in all supply chain and procurement activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain and procurement management, with a focus on the solar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of solar supply chain dynamics in the Asia Pacific region.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to speak and write fluently in English and a secondary language (Mandarin, Bahasa, etc.)
