Our team is currently supporting them with the search for a Solar Head Centre of Excellence. This position will be based in India and will cover large-scale Solar utilities projects across Asia Pacific. One of the key responsibilities of the role is for a hands-on approach to the designing and engineering aspect of utility-scale Solar projects.
- Craft and execute the Engineering Center's strategic vision and long-term goals in alignment with overall company objectives. Stay ahead in the tech game, identifying emerging trends and championing the adoption of relevant innovations.
- Cultivate a dynamic team of engineers, project managers, and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation. Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams for alignment and effective communication.
- Take the lead in planning, executing, and successfully completing engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budgetary benchmarks.
- Apply project management best practices and tools for enhanced project efficiency. Manage resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, optimizing productivity to achieve project goals.
- Foster robust relationships with external partners, customers, and suppliers, showcasing a track record in implementing cost control measures.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the Engineering Center's effectiveness.
- Uphold adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements in engineering practices and deliverables. Institute quality assurance processes for consistently high-quality work output.
- Actively involved in the design and engineering of Large Scale Solar Projects across the Asia Pacific Region.
- Accumulate 15 years of experience in the Solar and Electrical construction and engineering domains.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field. An MBA or advanced management degree is considered a plus.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and hands on experience in the designing and implementing large-scale solar projects and across APAC
- Mandatory experience covering Solar projects across Asia Pacific.
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, technical professionals, and contractors.
- Bring experience in power generation, renewable energy, or related industries.
- Showcase proficiency in project management and a commitment to continuous learning and application of best practices.
- Exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record in managing stakeholders.
